We believe that training should be a positive, motivational experience for both the dog and handler. Skills are taught through games and play, from the most basic of foundation skills to the skills that will carry through to the highest levels of competition. We believe that training and handling should incorporate fun, clarity of criteria and consistency to bring out the best in the dog and handler teams.

Tracy Sklenar is the Owner and Training Director of Leader of the Pack (Smyrna, NY) and an instructor at Susan Garrett's Say Yes Dog Training (Ontario, Canada.) She is also a regular contributor of training articles and event coverage to Clean Run and DogSport magazines. Before moving to central New York, Tracy was on the staff of the Behavior Department of the ASPCA in New York City, and she can be seen appearing on TV on this season of Animal Planet's "Animal Precinct."  Tracy is proud to be a student of Susan Garrett, Greg Derrett, Susan Salo and Bob Bailey.
Tracy is the proud owner of 6 dogs: Gypsy (13-year old All-American), Patch (9-year old Dogo Argentino), Pierce (7-year old Dalmatian), Samson (6-year old Dalmatian), Rebound (3-year old Rat Terrier) and Export (10-month old Jack Russell Terrier/Border Collie mix). Gypsy and Patch (both rescue dogs) were Tracy's first agility dogs, with Patch becoming the first Dogo to ever earn an agility title. Gypsy and Patch have since retired to a life of luxury in the country, while Pierce and Rebound travel throughout the country competing at the highest level in USDAA. Rebound, also a rescue dog, has competed in the USDAA World Cynosport Games in Scottsdale, AZ since he was 2 years old. In 2005, Rebound won a "bye" to the Semi-finals of the Grand Prix of Dog Agility. He also qualified for and competed in the 2005 AAC Canadian National Championships in Saskatoon, SK.  Samson pursues a career as a canine actor, having appeared in a variety of advertisements for Target, Ralph Lauren, Saks Fifth Avenue, Purina, and others. He is currently a canine "spokesmodel" for Target, appearing on the bags for their new line of dog food. Puppy Export is a star-in-training, currently showing off his intense drive and speed while filling the role of "demo puppy" at classes and clinics.
