Online Learning with Tracy Sklenar

Don’t let geography stand in the way of agility excellence! Tracy Sklenar (see bio page) is now offering online learning opportunities for agility enthusiasts who cannot get to regular classes or clinics.  If you have any questions or would like to set up lessons, please contact us at agilitydals@yahoo.com .

Handling Skills and Coursework: 

Interested in advancing your handling skills using the Derrett system, but cannot attend regular classes with Tracy, or can’t find a local instructor? Here is the answer! Tracy will send you a weekly “lesson” which is a series of 5 to 8 sequences. The lesson can be modified to your training space and level of experience.

You can choose from two options here:

Option A:

You will receive the weekly lessons with suggested handling, and work on them on your own.

*$20/ 1 week        *$37 /2 week package                *$54/ 3 week package

Option B:

You will receive the weekly lessons. You will run and videotape the sequences, then send them to Tracy. We will then discuss your handling choices, handling execution, areas for improvement, etc. Just like having a private lesson!

Foundations, Skills Building and Problem Solving

These online lessons will help you develop the foundation and skills your dog needs for a long, successful agility career! Also, you can tackle any problems and work through them with Tracy’s help. You will pick a topic (such as weaves, contacts, handling foundations, etc.) or send in a specific issue you’d like to work on. Tracy will then send you a lesson developed specifically for you and your dog! You will work on the lesson in several short sessions throughout the week, videotaping as many sessions as possible. Then send the videos to Tracy for discussion and feedback!  This is a more intensive style of online learning than the handling lessons, but the results are awesome!

Competition Feedback

Here is your opportunity to get feedback on your competition runs! Send your competition videos to Tracy, and she will provide feedback and discussion on what went well, what needed to improve, and suggestions on how to make those improvements and/or solve problems.
